First few minutes of playing Dragon Age: Origins

For six years Bioware is on work aggressively on Dragon Age, which was a PC-only. It was successor of the series games named Baldur’s Gate that was developed by the Bioware itself. This time the Dragon Age is available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.Let us get into the game’s first few minutes.

Keep in mind one thing. Dragon Age Origins has a different beginning depending on the character that gamers choose. The history of characters plays important role in the title of the game, Origin.

Now I insert the disc in the PS3 and press the start button.

00:00 – As for any traditional role playing games, here also you see the screen of character creation. Let us create Margaret. She is a female dwarven rogue.

00:04 – Margaret starts as a whore’s younger sister. The whore works for chap Beraht, heavily-bearded and seems as if a tool when a lip is given on opportunities.

00:06 – Conversation system in the game is odd and with one-sided experience. While selecting the dialogue options, the character is muted throughout. All the talks are done with NPCs.

00:13 – Heading outside in finding Leske. He is little cocky like. I cut down the size of Leske with pointed remark with sceptre is little soft.

00:16 – While wandering at the underground village of dwarven, I received some Fable II flashbacks. There few beggars idling about and few of them lazing in doorways. Few more I saw milling about without particular destination. I stopped and chatted with one beggar. I asked about smuggler but of no use. He asked for coins. I failed and moved on.

00:20 – Me and Leske left the slums and ventured into that part of the town which was more salubrious. The guards over there sneered towards me. Met one man called Kasch who sells teeth. He offered me silver.

00:23 – I saw some more merchants in this place. I did not have money for buying anything. According to the map I would walked past to tavern. There inside is a bartender along with many generic patrons and not to forget a guy at the table sitting there, Oskias

00:27 – Oskias seems a bit loser there. When he realized that we are the Beraht’s thugs, he started whimpering as if not wanting to hurt anyone. I tried there few old-fashioned threats. Oskias claimed and we were to teach him lesson.

00:30 – The combat starts and I was controlling Margaret. Leske did his own. The X hit instructs to attack the present target i.e. Oskias in this case. Other 3 buttons gives access to whichever skills or else the items that we have hotkeyed. When I tapped the square then it allows Margaret to use her dirty combating skill.

…and the game continues. It was really fun and also interesting playing it. It will never make you feel like ending up the game half the way. In brief, Dragon Age: Origins role playing game of Bioware is worth playing on Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3.
